Dr. Christine Uggeri is a native of the Kalamazoo area, having attended Portage Northern High School. She earned a BA in hospitality business from Michigan State University and a BS in biomedical sciences from Western Michigan University, where she graduated magna cum laude. She earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, where she received the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Dental Implant Award.
During her time in dental school, Dr. Uggeri traveled to Greece and Jamaica to broaden her perspective on dentistry throughout the world and to provide dental care for those with limited access to dental services. Dr. Uggeri is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Michigan Dental Association, the Kalamazoo Valley District Dental Society, and the Academy of General Dentistry.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Uggeri enjoys cycling. She has worked with many organizations, including Backroads, Bike and Build, and Openroads. Her love of the sport has taken her to Italy, biking across the United States, and teaching bicycle mechanic skills to the Kalamazoo area youth.
Dr. Uggeri also enjoys gardening and sustainability, having managed the Western Michigan University Community Garden and worked as a caretaker at the Matthaei Botanical Gardens & Nichols Arboretum for several years.
